Job Description:
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and managing the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of GAAP. Working with a remote Business Controller the candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivables, month end closings, bank reconciliations, and all journal entries. He or she will have strong analytical skills to create detailed accounting reports and will be a support to our manufacturing teams.
Main responsibilities:
Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivables
Entering general ledger journal entries and large bank reconciliations.
Extracting all data from systems
Assists with the preparation of budgets and analysis of budgets
All month-end and year-end closing for a short closing cycles
Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
Maintain accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
Ensure compliance with the law

You possess the following qualifications, background and abilities:
Manufacturing experience a must.
BS Degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
2-4 years supervisory experience with demonstrated consistency and clear expectations
Knowledge of standard costing
Advanced time management skills
Self-starter with an ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with minimal supervision.
Must be forward planning and analyzing
Committed to deadlines
Excellent analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong computer skills, Advanced MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws and regulations
