Pharmacy Support Technician – Supplies & Kits

SUMMARY

Assists Pharmacists and Technicians by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as performing other duties that may be assigned.

  • Run inventory report to determine what kits need to be made based on par levels and or pharmacy needs
  • Print kits formulas
  • Complete kits formula paperwork and batch records
  • Assemble and make kits
  • Maintain inventory stock level of supplies to PAR
  • Request for inventory needed for kits to be ordered as needed
  • Create Barcodes for supplies inventory by entering the inventory into AHPS
  • Organize inventory in the designated areas and storage room
  • Manage inventory of testosterone boxes and inserts
  • Create Barcodes for assembled kits by entering the kits inventory into AHPS
  • Label and organize kits for use by the pharmacy
  • Assists pharmacist to prepare and dispense Kits
  • Maintain inventory stock level or chemicals and supplies
  • Enroll and complete pharmacy Technician program

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to operate a personal computer.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
