Post Production Automation Lead - 2nd Shift

The Post-Production Automation lead role is responsible for managing a team working with automated machinery in processing, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient operations within Labeling or Visual Inspection of all batches produced for commercial release. The Post-Production automation lead is responsible for ensuring operations are performed in a safe and compliant manner that supports the post-production quality and operation performance goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of Automation technicians focused on running automation equipment within post-production.

• Providing training and support to employees on the use of automation technologies.

• Install and maintain automated systems and machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in machinery and automation systems.

• Participate in kick-off meetings and team interviews.

• Managing and overseeing the entire life cycle of automation projects from planning to execution if needed.

• Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of automation technologies into existing systems.

• Ensure all machinery and equipment are compliant with safety regulations.

• Ensure training and compliance of job tasks are up to date and accurate.

• Setup post-production equipment to meet the required parameters.

• Record and report operational data.

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve machine efficiency.

• Proper documentation of forms in all post-production areas.

• Other duties as assigned.

Profile/Experiences

• Work independently with little direct supervision in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of equipment.

• Excellent team management and leadership skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Technical knowledge of automation systems and tools to design and implement automation solutions effectively.

• Numeric literacy, math and problem-solving skills required.

• The post-production automation technician shall be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods of time.

• English communication skills to maintain routine written logs and records. Communicate with supervisors and read batch records.

• Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently, particularly in manufacturing environments where delays can affect productivity.

• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite software experience is required.
