Quality Technician II

The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing advanced inspections, testing, and analysis for bulk release processes to ensure quality standards are met. This role requires a deeper understanding of quality control principles, the ability to troubleshoot quality issues, and the capability to mentor less experienced technicians. The Quality Technician II also supports finished food and label release processes to ensure that all quality requirements are met.  

In this role, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Performs Physical inspection of bulk containers and dispostion labeling.   
  • Maintains Manufactuer Certificate of analysis document files.   
  • Determines test requirement of bulk, reviews test results, and completes aplicable test sample documentation.   
  • Performs bulk sampling, including staging.   
  • Reviews Manufacturer Certificate of Analysis angainst applicable compendia monograph and assoicated receving documents for accuracy.   
  • Performs inspections, tests, and disposition of container/Closure repack components.   
  • Reviews labels for accuracy and approval.   
  • Creates, reviews, and approved Ceritificates of Analysis.   
  • Assists with inspection and disposition of item returns.   
  • Performs initial investigations for customer and supplier complaints as assigned and internal quality investigations as required.   
  • Trains and mentors junior quality technicians.   
  • Conduct inhouse identification testing (Including method validation documenting) utilizing  raw material analyzer.

Basic Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • A minimum of (2) years previous experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment is preferred.  
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.  
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment.  
  • May require standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds.

  • Utilize critical thinking skills/tools such as root cause analysis and identifying corrective actions.  
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
