EMEA ESG Specialist

For our Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Area, we are looking for an EMEA ESG specialist based out of our Rotterdam office.
Fagron is a listed company and is anticipating the increasing European disclosure requirements on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) such as the CSRD (Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive).
Fagron wants to go beyond meeting the disclosure requirements and reduce our environmental impact, in line with our ESG strategy. Fagron’s first ESG strategy was published in 2021 and contains a number of ambitious targets in terms of:

• Reducing our environmental impact
• Providing benefits for our people
• Taking responsibility in our supply chain
• Giving back to communities in which we operate
• And conducting business in an ethical way

In view thereof, we are working on expanding our current environmental, health and safety monitoring and reporting system for e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, occupation health, waste management, environmental pollutants and water use.
We are looking for a EMEA ESG specialist that will be the linking pin between Global ESG team, Operations team, and Area leader EMEA and the local facility management in our EMEA region. You will help us professionalize our operational environmental, health and safety monitoring and contribute to realizing our environmental targets.

Your responsibilities
• Together with the ESG and Ops teams enhance the environmental, health and safety monitoring system for the Fagron Group.
• Implement the new EHS monitoring system in close cooperation with the production facilities and warehouses in the 14 countries in which Fagron is active in EMEA.
• Sign off data collected by the EMEA production facilities and warehouses so that the ESG Team can prepare disclosures required by the CSRD.
• Together with the ESG Team, Ops Team and production facilities and warehouses develop action plans to reduce environmental impact and improve occupational health & safety.
• Align action plans with key internal stakeholders such as the Area Leader EMEA.
• Support the production facilities and warehouses in EMEA in implementing the developed action plans.
• Serve as ESG specialist for the EMEA region, and support EMEA business where possible with ESG related requests.

Who are you?
You are a hands-on engineer with an affinity for developing and implementing new procedures and processes. You are passionate about environmental sustainability and are eager to learn. You are independent and analytical. You have between 1 and 3 years work experience.
You are open to travelling for the job to different production facilities and warehouses in the EMEA region.

Qualifications
• A Master’s degree that combines engineering and chemical knowledge such as chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or life science & technology.
• Knowledge of the environmental impact that businesses can have (greenhouse gas emissions, chemicals, water use, waste)
• Experience in developing and implementing new procedures and processes, preferably in relation to monitoring and reporting.
• Fluent in English (both speaking and writing). Speaking another European language of a country where Fagron is situated (e.g. Spanish, Polish, Czech) is an advantage.
• Experience with providing trainings is an advantage.

Co nabízíme

You will work in the ESG team and will work closely with the Operations Team and EMEA Team. You will report to the Global ESG Manager. The ESG team consist of the CFO, Global IR Manager, Global ESG Manager and ESG Data Analyst. The Operations (Ops) Team consists of the COO, purchasing, quality and operational managers. The EMEA team consist of the EMEA Area Leader and business units that report to him.
