The Global Risk & Insurance Specialist is a newly created role responsible for the global risk & insurance program in the broad sense and building a commercial network in the insurance sector to achieve a healthy and efficient global risk and insurance framework. Key tasks & responsibilities:

• Coordinate insurance programs:
  • Coverage extent
  • Pricing/negotiation/cost management
  • Policy & underwriting
  • Market monitoring & testing
  • Coverage structuring
  • Loss ratio management and monitoring

• Acquisitions DD:
  • Coverage analysis & overlap
  • Policy transfer
  • Integration and extensions
• Contract review:
  • Liability clause review & analysis
  • Insurance coverage assessment
  • Policy extensions special projects (e.g. Wlamart contracts)
• Market & financial risk exposure assessment
•  Prevention:
  • Property analysis fire & theft
  • Coordination risk engineer recommendations: analysis, proposals & implementation

• Reporting:
  • Feedback & networking insurance risk engineers as free resource
  • Gathering & prioritizing recommended actions
  • Improvements & attention points

• Claims handling:
  • Procedures harmonization
  • Loss ratio management
  • Claims coordination broker/insurer
  • Negotiations on coverage/pay-out

• Compliance:
  • Managing policy terms & covenants
  • Reporting risks & financials
  • Insurance certificates.
