We are seeking a hands-on Payroll Team Lead for our new Fagron Shared Service Center in Barcelona to oversee payroll operations for EMEA. You will report directly to the HR Manager EMEA.
Next to overseeing the complete EMEA payroll operations for EMEA and being the people manager of a small team of payroll specialist, you will also process the payroll for several countries in EMEA region yourself. This includes running the payroll reports, coordinating and checking the payroll with external vendors, preparing the journal and make sure payments are made timely and accurately. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who wants to be part of a driven, international team with daily learning opportunities.
Ihr Profil
• Build up an effective and efficient team of payroll professionals in our Shared Service Center
• Coach the team with the aim of making optimal use of and developing their capabilities, skills and knowledge
• Establish the process model including supporting documentation (flow charts, work instructions etc.) for the services in scope
• Lead the migration of Payroll activities in scope from local entities in the EMEA region to our Shared Service Center in Barcelona within the next 2 years
• Participating in the hiring and onboarding of new colleagues by implementing a structured program and processes
• Support the implementation and standardization of the payroll process within the countries in scope and look for opportunities to improve and optimize
• Prepare relevant monthly, quarterly and year-end report
• Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
• Build strong collaborative relations with internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in the resolution of day-to-day issues that arise, including problems with customers, third parties, internal teams and our internal systems as needed
Your Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s degree is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, additional languages are a plus
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in a similar role
• You have experience working in a Shared Service Center environment within large multi-national corporation
• Customer oriented with a positive collaborative attitude
• Passionate about, and motivated to leading teams and individuals.
• Constantly looking for improvement areas with the ability to think out of the box and find creative solutions for complex challenges
• Able to effectively prioritize workload, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills combined with a strong conceptual understanding of Payroll data and Payroll systems
