We are looking for a Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team in the St. Paul facility!   This position will systematically and continuously check and monitor raw materials, semi-finished and finished products to ensure that they meet Quality standards

Essential functions

  • Adhere with SOPs and regulatory requirements such as GMPs, GDPs, GLPs and OSHA regulations
  • Perform microbiological testing using appropriate testing and validate test methods
  • Receive, and release media, buffers, and microorganism cultures
  • Update and review microbiological trending
  • Review / record daily temperature readings
  • Sanitize the laboratory incubators and refrigerators
  • Review media, material, and supply inventories
  • Maintain and coordinate equipment / instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and repair work
  • Perform water system sampling, testing, and monitoring.
  • Clean and sanitize the microbiology laboratory rooms surfaces and equipment
  • Assist in investigations of OOS product as it relates to microbiology results
  • Other duties as assigned

Ihr Profil

You possess the following qualifications, background, and abilities: 

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or related scientific field or equivalent experience

Preferred education and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory
  • Knowledge of cGMP/GLP/GDP, USP, FDA regulatory requirements
  • Experience performing microbiological testing / environmental monitoring using aseptic techniques
  • Previous experience with quality control functions preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and experience performing and validating compendial microbiology methods
  • Experience Handling Biohazardous materials
