We are seeking a Compounding Technology Manager to join the Fagron Technologies North America team. This role will have responsibility for understanding systems requirements and the market landscape of compounding pharmacies within the United States in order to translate those requirements into business systems applications requirements to better meet the needs of compounding pharmacies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to gather and compile compounding pharmacy system requirements and report to development team in Brazil
- Ability to be immersed in the daily operation of a pharmacy;
- Identify all applicable regulatory agencies and laws for compliance
- Identify third party’s software that integrate to the systems used by the pharmacies, map its functionalities and obtain the specifications needed to integrate with them;
- Ability to interpret pharmaceutical terminology including a wide variety of chemical compound names, frequency, available dosage forms, and respond to prescriber inquiries that do not require pharmacist input.
- Ability to prepare prescriptions by counting or pouring medications, labeling containers, and pricing prescriptions.
- Create and update documentation/helps/tutorial of each process defined;
- Ability to process insurance claims and follow up on issues or rejected claims when necessary.
- Understand data entry of MPP information.
- Understand Pharmacy Standards of Practice
- Ability to Compound medications under the guidance and direction of the pharmacist and according internal policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- BS or BA degree in Information Systems or related field required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification strongly preferred
- Experience working in a compounding pharmacy required
- Familiarity with Computer Rx pharmacy and POS software and PK Software Compounder Lab is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Effective time management skills and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment.
- Good problem-solving abilities, ability to focus in a busy environment, and high attention to detail.
