Global Risk & Insurance Specialist

About the job

The Global Risk & Insurance Specialist is a newly created role responsible for the global risk & insurance program in the broad sense and building a commercial network in the insurance sector to achieve a healthy and efficient global risk and insurance framework. Key tasks & responsibilities:

1. Managing the global Risk & Insurance program

  • Build and manage relationships with brokers and insurers;
  • Analyze and mitigate risk in order to develop and maintain a healthy portfolio;
  • Advise the executive committee on the optimization of the global insurance portfolio and develop a risk management strategy with the aim of reducing costs and creating value;
  • Lead market consultations, analysis of claim statistics and risk evaluation, negotiate tailor-made conditions, lead recurrent meetings with brokers and insurers;
  • Negotiate highly competitive terms, conditions and premiums;
  • Focus on coverage optimization, policy compliance and reporting to brokers and insurers;
  • Reporting and presentations of the global risk & insurance strategy, program and portfolio to Fagron group companies globally to create awareness and reduce risks and premiums;
  • Support and take the lead if necessary in (international) claims handling;

 

2. Developing a global commercial insurers network and business development support

  • Map and define key areas of interest to insurers in the area of Healthcare & Life Sciences that can benefit their private and corporate clients (ESG, Health & Welness, Prevention,…);
  • Develop a common value proposition and product positioning for the company and insurance companies towards private and corporate clients;
  • Develop a shortlist of prospective organizations and develop relationships to build optimized and improved joint offerings and demonstrate how partnerships can move insurance and insureds forward;
  • Support the business development, marketing and sales teams in designing and implementing joint product offerings;

 

Set yourself apart

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business economics, law or management
  • At least 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in an international business environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • You are hands-on, flexible, proactive and precise
  • Fluent in English
