We are seeking a highly organized and experienced A/R manager to join our Shared Services team in the Austin, Texas office. In this role you will lead a team of A/R specialists that support different Fagron entities across the US. This position will be responsible for improving and maintaining A/R positions and processes for all Fagron US companies. You will also provide regular management updates and analysis.

 

Key responsibility areas

  • Daily contact with A/R specialists and frequent follow-up on more difficult collections
  • Supervise cash applications and ensure receipts are posted on time
  • Prepare weekly A/R progress management updates
  • Review A/R balances on a daily basis for each Fagron site
  • Reconcile A/R balances on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Make sure overdue receivables have clearly defined actions and ownership
  • Implement tracking system for customer payment plans
  • Approve proposed customer payment plans
  • Review, make proposals for improvement and document processes and procedures
  • Communicate with third party collection agency for older receivables as necessary
  • Communicate with sales & customer service colleagues as necessary
  • Respond to customer inquiries as needed
  • Support A/R specialists and assist with collections as necessary
  • Support cash applications for A/R as necessary
  • Support factoring process as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

You possess the following qualifications, background, and abilities:

Required education and experience

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 5+ years of management experience, preferably in A/R
    • Experience in leading a big group of employees (>10 FTE)
    • 8+ years of A/R experience
    • Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
    • Strong problem solving and application skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel
    • High degree of accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality
    • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong management and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with little oversight

Preferred education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience with MS Navision, AX, D365 or PowerBI
