Job Summary:
The position is responsible for assisting in the initial processing of samples submitted for identification and performing processing prior to identification. Tasks include printing of labels for samples, subculturing, assisting in EM media growth promotion activities, and incubation of samples.
Role Responsibilities:
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, state, federal, and local laws.
• Understand current and upcoming regulatory standards pertaining to Environmental Monitoring and Quality Manufacturing.
• Work cooperatively as an individual contributor and as a team member.
• Communicate effectively with EM personnel, cross-functional peers, and management. • Perform Environmental Monitoring as needed.
• Ensure regulatory and company compliance is maintained.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Some experience or equivalent education in environmental monitoring or laboratory processes.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high workload environment.
• Use & general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills; written and oral.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and be able to pass, push, and pull to execute aspects of job duty.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
