Quality Control Technician - Vegas

We are seeking a highly-motivated Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Team in Las Vegas, NV.  Shift hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M - F.

Responsibilities include: Quality Control Technicians are the quality representatives that provide support for the site quality inspection and product release activities. In addition, this position will help with site documentation control responsibilities, validation and engineering study activities and assist with the control of nonconforming material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the in-process inspection activities associated with drug product manufacturing and batch record documentation.
  • Responsible for visual inspection of injectable products
  • Responsible for performing visual inspection of injectable products
  • Performs Quality Control duties including but not limited to: in-process inspections, purchased raw material and component inspections and the final QA3 batch release for 503B work orders.
  • Responsible for execution of the assigned duties in accordance with site validation and engineering studies.
  • Performs quality activities associated with the manufacturing process including working in the clean rooms.
  • Performs inspections of purchased materials (components and raw materials).
  • Releases materials to production
  • Performs calibration of beakers
  • Sends Raw Material samples out for testing
  • Performs Quality Review of Batch Records
  • Ability to use metrology equipment (i.e. calipers, scales, etc.).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • High attention to detail is required
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on autoclave and incubators in accordance with established procedures
  • Performs data entry used for trend analysis

Ihr Profil

Qualified candidate requirements:

  • Business and science courses from an accredited college or university and/or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ASQC membership and certifications and/or pharmacy technician registration/certification are preferred but are not required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
