Compounding Support Specialist

About the job

Located in St Paul MN, as a Pharmacy Compounding Specialist, you will assist in troubleshooting compounding questions from customers, assist in formula development and help support in person classes. This position will report to the VP of compounding services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer customer questions and inquires related to basic compounding or non-sterile compounding over the phone and through email
  • Escalate complex or questions and inquiries related to sterile compounding to a Pharmacist Consultant
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to replicate and trouble shoot compounding issues in the lab with customers
  • Assist with R&D
  • Participate in development of educational opportunities
  • Assist with pharmacist perspective on matters of compounding
  • Understanding of aspects of compounding including but not limited too, veterinary, hormone replacement, pediatrics, and pain management.
  • Assist with in person classes if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Pharmacy Compounding experience
  • Pharmacy Technician certificate
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience or relevant highly regulated industry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to defend assumptions and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with many different functions.
  • Experience directing and managing internal teams to deliver on established objectives.
