We are seeking a highly-motivated Registered Pharmacy Technician (Required) to join our professional Customer Service team in our Tampa location! Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for answering telephones and entering customer record information into computer by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Duties and responsibilities may vary depending on department to which position incumbent is assigned.

Talks with customers by phone and receives orders for prescriptions or responds to customer questions and/or requests for information including billing, order status, delivery status, etc.

Answers telephone and directs calls to pharmacists and/or other pharmacy personnel, or takes necessary messages.

Provides product information, product literature, and customer ordering status to support field sales personnel.

Receives prescriptions from pharmacist for processing by entering into pharmacy computer system

Prepares correct paperwork for pharmacy to fill medications

Solicits sale of new or additional services by calling patients for their monthly refills.

Receives and processes prescriptions via fax, mail, and online ordering systems.

Verifies and/or updates accuracy of patient information; i.e. address, allergies, etc.

Ensures security of Protected Health Information as per HIPAA requirements.

Enters new prescription orders into the computer system and processes form of payment: check or credit card; when appropriate

Communicates form of shipment of orders

Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

Follows reconciliation and reporting procedures for reporting to local, state, and federal governing authorities as required by law.

May serve as a role model for the purposes of training new personnel.

Maintains a clean, orderly work environment.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • Current Florida Pharmacy Technician License
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills, be organized, and detail oriented
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Enthusiastic, professional, and self-directed interest
